A medical school is a tertiary educational institution, or part of such an institution, that teaches medicine , and awards a professional degree for physicians and surgeons. Many medical schools offer additional degrees, such as a Doctor of Philosophy Ph. D , Master’s degree M. Sc , a physician assistant program, or other post-secondary education. Medical schools can also carry out medical research and operate teaching hospitals. Around the world, criteria, structure, teaching methodology, and nature of medical programs offered at medical schools vary considerably.

Getting married at medical school is a big step to take. Some of you may have done it already, perhaps considered it, or maybe put it off as impractical. Medical school is hard. But so is maintaining a relationship. But some medical students are balancing the demands of both—navigating their way through lessons, exams, clinicals and romance. Just because you’re busy doesn’t mean you have to stop dating in medical school​. think because I am a medical student, my time is more valuable than others, I try to end the fight by talking on the phone or seeing each other in person.

The choices you make after college are going to affect your relationships. Intense programs like med school and law school will change the dynamic you have with your significant other. As will certain jobs. Now, as her boyfriend embarks on his first year of medical school, she is taking the next step in furthering her education. Katherine admits that this first year with adjusting to her boyfriend being a med student has been challenging. She works evenings and he is often asleep by the time she gets home and then already at school when she wakes up.

But we make it work. She is so thankful that there was an orientation seminar for new students entering into John A. Some of the best advice they gave to incoming med students was to pick a duration of time during the week that you devote to each other.
